Amanda Press will be offerring day-long workshops on how to cultivate a mindful self compassionate response to everyday difficulties that arrive in our lives. Mindful self compassion (MSC) is a therapeutic approach to enhancing emotional resources to meet emotional challanges, old and new. Mindful self compassion is a mindfullness-based compassion training in which the quality of warmth is emphasized more than just awareness itself. These are the inner tools we need in this modern age to learn how to develop an inner companion.

With over twenty years of experience in working with families who have children with autism and through her own journey as a parent, Amanda Understands the benefits of how mindful self compassion can change the way you relate to yourself and in turn transform the inner critic into an inner companion. The Center for Mindful Self Compassion (, founded by Clincial Psychologists; Chris Germer and Kristin Neff, have developed ground breaking evidence based research that shows self compassion reduces depression, anxiety, stress, and shame and increases happiness, life satisfaction, self confidence and phsycial health.

This is a proven and sustainable way to accept yourself, build inner strength and thrive.
