WHO AM I?
I am a fully qualified speech and language therapist who graduated from City University in London in 2002. Since then I have worked with children of all ages gain skills in development of their speech, language and communication. My dedication for working with children and adolescents with Autism, Anxiety Disorders, ADHD and social communication challenges has taken me all over the world where I have gained extensive experience. I have also become passionate about supporting schools and families in identifying children with social and emotional challenges using an attachment model of intervention. Many of our children who do not have a specific diagnosis but present with language and social communication difficulties still struggle to be part of a group and interact with their peers.
I have undertaken extensive additional training to develop my skills in providing children on the autistic spectrum with a framework by which to plan their lessons at school and everyday tasks. I am registered with the Royal Collage of Speech and Language Therapists and the Health Professions Council. I have undertaken numerous courses on autism, cognitive behaviour therapy, Social Thinking, Anxiety Disorders and Attachment interventions. I have recently completed a Masters in Psychology with a specialization in Mental Health.
WHAT I OFFER
My commitment is to provide the highest quality speech and language therapy services along with innovative, evidence based treatment methods. I work with the child and family to identify the core challenges and support that by utilising the child’s strengths in both the home and school environment. My approach is unique to each child and I adopt a holistic view of intervention, working alongside both the professionals and the parents.
